Legal and Compliance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Legal & Compliance Manager to oversee compliance across our estate of Petrol Filling Stations (PFS) and convenience stores. This fully remote role requires frequent travel across the UK.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal compliance audits (on-site and remotely) and manage post-visit reports.
  • Oversee incident management, including CCTV requests and follow-ups.
  • Handle alcohol licensing, including applications, renewals, and attending hearings when needed.
  • Manage operator recruitment, including interviews and document review.
  • Ensure compliance with Modern Slavery regulations and prepare the annual statement.
  • Oversee legal compliance for new sites, staff training, and legal documentation.
  • Support acquisitions, divestments, and premises license transfers.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Legal & Compliance within the fuel and convenience retail sector.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative and company compliance, particularly in health and safety and licensing.
  • Ability to manage risk and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
